A fine English classic desert, very easy to prepare in advance for your guests. Serving time takes mins and works perfectly for summer time BBQ’s
Be warned to much icing sugar and make this dish slightly too sweet. For extra finishing touches add passion fruit puree around the outside as a fruity alternative to icing sugar. This dish is ideal for catered parties of large group as more can be made on site within minutes.

Ingredients:
500g of Fresh English Strawberries with the centers extracted
500g of Fresh double cream
6 Plain meringues
1 Table spoon of icing sugar
Method:
- Chop 50% of the strawberries into smaller pieces
- Place the other 50 into a blender and blend for 30 seconds to make a smooth Puree
- Whip and fold the cream until stiff
- Add the meringue and crush into small pieces
- Chill for 20 mins
- Add the strawberries and puree and toss until completely mixed
- Chill and serve adding fresh strawberries for decoration
